Check Processing Specialist – Louisville, KY

Position Purpose: Our Check Processing Specialist is responsible from processing checks for all of the hotels, restaurants and service companies

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Generate AP aging's and submit to staff accountant for approval.
  • Process daily check runs.
  • Pull necessary checks that need additional signatures.
  • Check copies must be attached in the Accounting Software after processing.
  • Every check run must be reviewed after print to ensure accuracy.
  • All checks must be folded, stamped and mailed.
  • Submit positive pay files to the appropriate bank.
  • Facilitate emergency checks as needed.
  • Assist with check research as needed.


  • High School Diploma or GED; 2 years' experience in Accounting field


  • Meet all check processing deadlines as required
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to produce results with minimal supervision in a fast paced environment
  • Strong organizational, problem solving and analytical skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously with accuracy
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
